Private Investigator Bursary

National bursary competition for academic year 2014/2015 and 2015/2016. Each scholarship will provide £1,000 to assist one student undertaking a full-time course (BTEC Level 3 and above).

The award will be made to the individual student for one year only.

What is This Scholarship?

We have a huge interest in the education of the next generation of private detectives and investigators and as we have a commitment to helping others we are offering one student a monetary award to assist with their education.

Am I Eligible?

To be eligible for this scholarship you must meet the following criteria:

  • Applicants are required to be studying for a BTEC Level 3 or above
  • Applicants are required to have firmly accepted their offer of a full-time place
  • Applicants must be registered with the university by the 31st October 2014 for the bursary 2014/2015 and 31st October 2015 for the bursary 2015-2016.

A panel made up of private detectives and investigators will meet in early November to consider who the scholarship will be awarded to.

Criminology, Forensic Science, Criminology and Police Science, Forensic Crime Scene, Digital, E-Crime, Cyber Crime, Forensic Investigation, Forensic Analysis, Crime and Investigative Studies, Criminology and Sociology, Law, Psychology and Criminology, Policing, Law and Investigation.

Applicants that meet this criterion are invited to submit a 200 word statement titled "How The Private Investigator Scholarship Will Help Me" via the below form.

  • Hillingdon

    West of Charing Cross by (22.8 km) 14.2 miles, Hillingdon is an Hillingdon London Borough area. Absorbed in 1929 by the Urban District of Uxbridge, Hillingdon experienced an increase in population during the 1920s. In the Domesday Book (1086), the name Hillingdon appears as Hillendone, meaning "hill of a man named Hille".

  • Private Investigator Hillingdon

    With Uxbridge, Hillingdon West became part of Uxbridge Urban District. Governed by the Hillingdon East Parish Council, Hillingdon East became part of the Uxbridge Rural District. In order for the road to be constructed, Hillingdon station was required to be demolished and a station was opened further south along the line in 1994, winning the US of the Year award for that year.

    At its junction with Royal Lane, the St John the Baptist church at the Hillingdon Hill stands. As his family home, Sir Charles Mills built Hillingdon Court in 1858, after he had bought separate properties in Vine Lane. Until 2nd Baron Hillingdon, Charles Mills died in 1919, the mansion remained in family's ownership.

    Remaining as Hillingdon Court Park is the area of land bought by local authority. Within local authority, Hillingdon London Borough Council, represented as the ward of Hillingdon East is much of Hillingdon. Hillingdon had the Uxbridge chapelry within it, which in 1866 became a parish that was separate.
